Does Britney Really Need a Monitor to See Her Kids?

It hasn’t been so very long since Britney was a child herself.  (I’ll save my opinion on the parenting judgment that allowed photos like this for another day.)  Now she’s deemed such a danger to her own children that a court has ordered a monitor be present while her children spend time with her. 

Does this girl really need one more person watching her?  Are there not enough cameras trained on her and everyone she knows 24/7 to catch any possible bad behavior? 

And who is this supposed monitor anyway?  Judges in these cases are supposed to choose a nuetral person to monitor visitation and protect the child’s rights.  I can’t imagine who in the Spears-Federline camp is impartial.  For regular folk and impoverished trailer scrap, there are social workers who perform the service for a fee, but I’m betting Brit didn’t go through the normal channels.  Maybe she hired a new friend.  I mean assistant. 

But what if you’re not worth a huge pile of money?  Supervised visitation is often necessary in cases where one or both parents is an abuser.  Considering Spear’s erratic behavior lately, not to mention probable drug use, it’s no wonder that the court doesn’t think she’s able to care for her own kids.  Or maybe the judge fears the former Pop Tart Princess will try to flee the country with the kids.

Again, paparazzi?  It’s not like she can get away with anything.
